Story (from website):
A woman's struggle to live as a pioneer in the untamed frontier continues in the fourth installment of Janette Oke's bestselling books. Love's Abiding Joy continues the story of Missie and Willie Lahaye as they work to overcome the challenges that face them settling in the wild west.
Technical Info:
There is no offensive content in this film, everyone is dressed modestly, there is no foul language or graphic violence. The film quality is the same as the first three Love Comes Softly Movies.
Angela's Take:
I saw this movie during a special previewing. If you enjoyed the first three films as I did, you will also enjoy this one. My only disappointment in any of these films is the lack of focus on Jesus Himself as in the lack of use of His name rather than "faith" and "God" in general. However, the website does offer a free Bible Study download that you can use for your family or church Bible study after you see the film, and it is not without Christian content, showing a family praying and trying to come to terms with their circumstances in life and God.
I would encourage anyone who can to see this movie to show your support for clean, Biblical based movies. It is rare that you can go to the theater and watch a full movie without coming into contact with anything offensive at all.
Rebekah from Marshall :
"I have to say that this movie really got me. I love the other ones but this one was really sad. It seems like Will and Missie were getting a divorce because they didn't really see each other a lot. I can see why Missie was so sad when her baby girl died. I know a lot of people that had babies die young. I hope this movie really touches everyone."
