Story : (from website)
Is there evidence to confirm that Jesus of Nazareth was indeed the Son of God and the Savior of the world?
When hard-nosed investigative journalist Lee Strobel set out on a journey to de-bunk the claims of Christ, he instead uncovered something far more... a life-changing, deep-rooted faith, chronicled in the Gold Medallion award-winning, best-selling book, The Case for Christ .
Strobel, the former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, drew upon his legal background (Yale Law School) and his years as an award-winning reporter to methodically subject the claims of Christ to the scrutiny he used in covering legal cases. With dogged research and unmatched skill, Strobel examined the historical accuracy of the Gospels, the personal claims of Jesus, and His resurrection from the dead.
The result is a remarkable journey from atheism to faith through a two-year investigation of the Bible and the life of Jesus Christ.

Angela's Take:
I am so excited that this wonderful book has finally been made into a movie! I pray that God uses it to reveal Himself to many people and to strengthen the faith of many more.
The Case for Christ takes you through Lee Strobel's journey from athiest to Christian. His experience is a very special one because he was not converted by personal emotional or spiritual experiences, he was converted by following the actual evidence that we have regarding Jesus, the Bible, Christianity and most importantly the Ressurection of Jesus. He researched the facts and became a Christian based on his findings.
For those of you who are not familiar with apologetics, there are resources at the bottom of the page to help get you started.
I know that some of you are going to think right away that this film doesn't apply to you, that your faith is enough and you don't need actual evidence, but I challenge you to take it up anyway. Who knows what knowledge you might gain from it that can help you or someone else?
Has anyone ever asked you about the apparent contradictions in the Bible? Or that the Bible is not a reliable historical document? One of my favorite scriptures is 1 Peter 3:15 "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." To me it's as much about apologetics as it is about scripture knowledge, and for the two questions above, it greatly helps to know more about the Bible than the scriptures inside alone. Now, I am not saying that apologetic knowledge is more important than scripture knowledge (it actually includes knowledge of the scriptures), the Bible is the most important book to know and to read, it is God's Word, if you only have knowledge of one thing in the world, it should be of what is inside the Bible, apologetics should supplement our Biblical reading and knowledge. This is important because people in the world today don't believe that the Bible is true, so why would they care what you quote from it? If you can give them a reason to trust the Bible as a valid and accurate source, they may be more willing to hear what's inside the pages. So many times Christians are shot down with trick questions from non-believers, students go to school to be influenced in evolution and taught that the Bible is a myth. I believe that apologetic knowledge is very important especially for our students, that even if you can't remember the details or all the facts, you have added to your own foundation, you become more solid, and you can point others in the right direction.
I feel that along with my personal and spiritual experiences, I have a more solid historical and scientific backing to my faith because of this book and other apologetics resources, and the more I learn, the more I stand in awe of how awesome God really is.
Hopefully The Case For Faith will be next!
