What can I tell you …..I have two wonderful children who have so many awesome qualities of their father, a puppy who challenges me and teaches me daily, a cat who just hangs out all the time, and a hope for my future.
Life for me has never been particularly “easy”, but God has been profoundly Good through it all.

I was blessed to be married to my one true love for 13 years, John Mills, before he was killed in a heavy equipment accident on August 9, 2006. God has been my strength, my peace and my hope through what I thought I could have never lived through.. ( click here to read about John A. Mills) God continues to surround me and my children with his love and comfort as all the first “special days” come and go.

Through the different “valleys” in my life God has continued to teach me and stretch me to see more of His faithfulness and His amazing love! I now have a greater understanding and compassion for those who have gone through unwanted seasons in life… divorces, losses of loved ones to illness or accident, being a single parent, and much more. It’s basically about feeling like you’ve lost “hopes and dreams”, a feeling I’m very familiar with.
I thank God though, that He challenged me to dare to believe that He still had a wonderful future for me. He literally asked me to “Dream Again. Believe Again.” Hard things to do in the midst of a great storm, however, I knew in an instant that it was my choice…..Believe all is lost, or Believe that God still has my hopes and dreams in His hands and that He has planned for me a hope for my future. It was a choice that could’ve taken me in two very different directions. Thank God He gave me the strength to choose to believe Him “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!.”

If like me you’ve had some dark, hard, “valleys” in your life, I challenge you to believe God’s word about your future. He never wastes anything that we’ve been through. That’s why I love what I do here at PER, because I feel like it’s a way that I can share with you how God can bring us through every storm. I feel like God has comforted me so that I can comfort others with the comfort He has given me. I want to be a funnel of God’s encouragement, comfort, and hope, so that I might share with you, what God has shared with me. Then my prayer is that as God brings you comfort, encouragement, and hope, you likewise share it with others wherever your daily life takes you.
